HDA has maintained a reputation for a cutting-edge, task-based approach to crisis communications and has developed dozens of site-based and company-wide crisis communications plans across the country.

Our approach recognizes that crisis communications is a multi-dimensional process with many keys to success. Successful crisis communications involves much more than a perfect television interview.

Before a crisis, HDA works with clients to develop tailored crisis communication plans, conduct on-site drills and trainings, and build relationships with community, government and local emergency management entities to ensure preparedness.

In the event of a crisis, HDA acts as a member of a client’s response team, supporting activities ranging from media management to liaising with the community and public officials.

HDA’s crisis communication strategies are aligned with federal Incident Command Structure required when responding to incidents, including oil spills and hazardous chemicals.
