Payton currently provides comprehensive research, strategic planning, and guidance on local issues for global leaders in the petrochemical and refining industry. Other duties have included legislative and public opinion analysis for a leading industry group in the region, due diligence on facility and siting investment, management of charitable outreach efforts, and site support for clients. A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Payton has more than six years experience in state governance and campaign politics in Texas.
